Captain Paul
I consider it an honor that people trust me to skipper a boat for them. It is a responsibility that is taken seriously to ensure everyone is safe and enjoy the trips. I hope that the crew is half as comfortable with me as skipper as I am with the water. Since a young age, I have felt drawn to the water. Before the age of ten, I was an able swimmer, sailor (sunfish), motor boater, water skier, and fisher. In my teens, I became a CPR certified ocean lifeguard, and did it for nine years. At the age of 30, I bought a sloop and sailed it 150 miles home upon purchase. I have skippered a wide variety of boats over 40 years of experience. During that time, I developed a feel for the waves, currents and wind on a variety of platforms. Now that I am traveling and piloting boats through international waters, I have worked toward formal certifications. To that effort, I have become an ASA instructor , and have an International Proficiency Certificate (IPC) for sailors. I became a licensed USCG captain in 2020 with an OUPV. Also, I am a trustee and an instructor at our local sailing & teaching club, SEAS Morris.
When it comes to fun, I am always the first in the water. If anyone wants to snorkel, scuba, SUP, kayak...I am ready to go! The spectacular environment always grabs my heart. Lifting anchor at sunrise to find a new destination is exhilarating and watching the sunset is too peaceful for words, while our days are filled with new adventures all day.
My goal on these trips is for everyone to have fun and relax while experiencing this unique way to vacation. It is my pleasure to share these trips with friends and family.
